IT’S TIME TO PAY ATTENTION TO ATTENTION

The average attention span of a goldfish is 9 seconds. According to a new study, humans lose concentration after 8 seconds. This highlights the impact of an increasingly digitalized lifestyle on the brain.

INSPIRED ACTION

Many companies are finding themselves on a journey that has currently been labeled as a "Digital Transformation"… and for a good reason. Today’s consumer spends upwards of 41 hours per week with digital media. This means that delivering great experiences that drive customer value is an imperative for every business today.

A lot of companies talk a good game when it comes to how they are innovating their brand, as well as their roadmap towards a digital transformation. The reality is that it takes "Inspired Action" for customers, as well as the entire business to get behind such an effort. Internal teams can easily become complacent and start to "cozy-up" with what can only be called "The Comfort Zone."

BREAKING OUT OF THE “COMFORT ZONE”

In order to be "forward-thinking" and to truly breakout of "The Comfort Zone", the brand must find inspiration in what is next. Often times this type of effort requires "fact-based data" that backs the rationale for the approach that is ahead. My experience has brought me to the conclusion that all of this requires the need to quickly excite customers, stakeholders, and internal teams with innovation that can all be backed by an "Inspired Action" plan.

THE FOUR PHASES

This diagram shows four distinct phases that we all go through in life. It is highly critical for a brand to constantly find ways to break out of "The Comfort Zone" and innovate at a level that will inspire generations to come.
